Perkins Engines was founded in Peterborough, England in 1932 by Frank Perkins, with a mission to build diesel engines suitable for light vehicle applications at a time when diesel power was associated almost entirely with heavy industrial equipment. Perkins became part of the Caterpillar group in 1998 and continues to produce diesel and gas engines from facilities in the UK, USA, India and China.
Perkins diesel engines are found in a remarkably wide range of equipment: agricultural tractors, telehandlers, excavators, generators, marine applications, compressors and light industrial machinery. The 400 Series, 854 Series and 1100 Series engines are particularly widespread in European agricultural and construction equipment, and the Perkins nameplate carries strong credibility in the engineering and plant machinery trades.
Fits perfectly on plant machinery cabins, generator housings, tractor panels, workshop walls, toolboxes and engineering equipment.
