The Vauxhall Astra GTC was produced from 2011 to 2016 as the sporty three-door coupe variant of the J-generation Astra, available with a range of turbocharged petrol and diesel engines including the 1.4 and 2.0-litre turbos. The range-topping Astra GTC VXR (sold as the Opel Astra OPC in Europe) used a 280hp 2.0-litre turbocharged engine with a Brembo braking package featuring uprated calipers, HiPerStrut front suspension and a Torsen limited-slip differential. The Astra GTC was styled by Vauxhall's design team with a pronounced coupe roofline, wide tracks and alloy wheel designs that made the caliper faces particularly visible — a popular point for personalisation on both standard and VXR builds.
