The Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade was introduced in 1992 under the vision of project leader Tadao Baba, with a philosophy of total weight reduction and mass centralisation that produced a 900cc superbike weighing just 185kg — lighter, sharper and faster in real-world riding than any rival. It set the benchmark for the entire litre-bike class and has been continuously updated through the SC57, SC59, SC77, SC82 generations to the current CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP with its factory Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) hardware and MotoGP-derived technology.
The Fireblade has won multiple World Superbike Championship races and titles, competed in the Endurance World Championship and remains the benchmark for Honda's road bike performance. The Style 2 graphic provides an alternative Fireblade identity — slightly different in treatment from the standard, and suited to custom builds and restorers who want a variation on the original.
