Ayrton Senna da Silva (1960–1994) is widely regarded as the greatest Formula 1 racing driver of all time. The Brazilian driver from São Paulo won three World Drivers' Championships — in 1988, 1990 and 1991 — all with the McLaren-Honda team, and claimed 65 pole positions and 41 race victories across his career. His qualifying laps — particularly at Monaco — have been dissected by generations of motorsport analysts as examples of an otherworldly synthesis of car control, circuit knowledge and competitive intensity.
Senna's battles with Alain Prost at McLaren remain among the most compelling narratives in motorsport history. After leaving McLaren to join Williams for the 1994 season, Senna died following an accident at the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix at Imola on 1 May 1994. He was 34 years old. His death triggered a fundamental rethink of Formula 1 safety standards that transformed the sport.
The Instituto Ayrton Senna, established by his family in 1994 to carry forward his work in Brazilian education, continues to operate in his name. The stylised Senna S logo — derived from a signature design used during his career — is widely used on tribute vehicles, helmets and motorsport heritage displays.
Fits perfectly on track car doors, helmet sticker boards, van windows, and motorsport tribute displays.
