The Buell Ulysses XB12X launched in 2006 as Buell's first proper adventure motorcycle, combining the 1200cc XB-series V-twin engine with upswept exhaust, long travel suspension and high ground clearance. It sat alongside the XB12R Firebolt and XB12S Lightning in Buell's range before the brand's closure in 2009.
Erik Buell Racing (EBR) later attempted a revival, and the XB series bikes including the XB12X, XB12R and XB9R remain cult classics with a passionate owner community worldwide.
