Demob burst out of Gloucester in the early 1980s as one of the UK's most uncompromising punk and Oi! bands. Their confrontational sound and DIY attitude made them a cult favourite of the British punk underground, alongside contemporaries like Discharge, GBH and The Exploited.

The band are best remembered for raw singles including Anti-Police, No Room for You and their debut album No Room for You (1981) — releases that cemented their place in the first wave of UK hardcore punk and street punk history.
