Monoral are a Tokyo-based Japanese rock duo formed by vocalist Anis and guitarist Mike, celebrated for blending alternative rock with emotionally charged post-punk energy. They gained a devoted international following after their track Wire was used as the ending theme for the cult anime series Ergo Proxy.
With releases including the albums Deja Vu and Anthropos, Monoral built a reputation across Japan's underground rock and anime crossover scenes. Fans of J-rock, visual kei-adjacent acts and anime soundtrack music have kept their name firmly in search.
