Tom Verlaine was the founding guitarist, vocalist and creative force behind Television — one of the most influential bands to emerge from New York's legendary CBGB scene. His intricate, serpentine guitar work on Marquee Moon (1977) set a new standard for rock composition and cemented his legacy as a cult hero of punk and post-punk music.
Beyond Television, Verlaine released a string of acclaimed solo records and collaborated with artists including Patti Smith, with whom he shared roots in the downtown New York arts world. His influence runs through post-punk, indie rock and alternative guitar music to this day.
Fits perfectly on guitars, amp cases, record boxes, laptops, notebooks, skateboard decks and bedroom walls.
